2021 in many ways is like the Grinch. This year has attempted to steal every ounce of joy from our lives. Time, events, people, and things we may never get back.
Fortunately, there is one person who is diligently trying to restore that joy. Santa Claus has been working overtime this year to ensure we can all put our differences aside and enjoy the magic of Christmas together. As family, friends, and neighbors. He wants to help us heal, bring us together, and remind us to love one another. This makes him quite possibly the most essential worker in the world right now!
But some things are still uncertain...
Will the large shopping centers even allow Santa to come visit with families this year?
If so, doesn’t that increase the risk of Covid?
Will they put Santa behind a plexiglass wall? Will masks be required?
Is that going to be an enjoyable memory for your child?
The Magic Santa Experience at Tim Turnmire Photography is the perfect alternative. During your time in our Hickory, North Carolina studio, your family will get to forget about all of the issues that 2020 & 2021 has brought about. The parents get to watch a theatrical performance starring their child with Santa Claus. Your child will interact with the big guy in scenarios for the duration of the performance in our gorgeous sets that have been custom built to feel like Santa’s cabin, workshop, and the North Pole post office! And this all takes place in a sanitary environment with no other families present. What a great way to create Christmas memories together and stay safe at the same time!
This is NOT "Pictures with Santa." We have strategically placed cameras throughout the set to capture these priceless interactions for you. The photographer doesn’t direct the experience, and the parents are asked to remain quiet and enjoy watching their little ones, while Santa leads the show for us. You will have the option to purchase your choice of memorable, heirloom-quality keepsakes, such as custom Storybook Albums, Wall Art, Printed Portraits, Christmas Cards, and more.

Santa Stephen
Santa Stephen joined us 2 years ago, during a time when Santa Wayne was unavailable. He came in and took the reigns, leading the experience without missing a beat. He's a natural. At 6 feet tall, he seems larger than life to the children! And he is married to the REAL Mrs. Claus. She bakes chocolate chip cookies FROM SCRATCH...Every Single Day! If you choose the full Magic Santa Experience, you will visit with Santa Stephen.
Santa Wayne
Santa Wayne is the 'Original Santa' that started it all for Tim Turnmire Photography. Without Santa Wayne, the Magic Santa Experience would have never existed. He is also the official Santa for the Bob Timberlake Art Gallery in Lexington, NC, Chetola Resort in Blowing Rock, NC, and Brenner's Children's Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. You may see Santa Wayne if you choose the Mini Santa Experience.
Because of the high demand for our Magic Santa Experience and Mini Santa Experience, and the fact that we want each child to have a genuine, authentic experience, we work with two professionally trained, real-beard Santas.
